Any candidate or their campaign staff who provide money, items valued at more than NT$30, or hospitality such as travel to individuals with voting rights constitutes election bribery. Whether it occurs as 'post-election bribery' or 'pre-election bribery,' any such behavior falls under the category of election bribery.

However, the standards for election bribery have been relaxed, and the Ministry of Justice is currently working on a new definition of bribery to be more accommodating. In the future, promotional materials used by candidates, such as door curtains, desk calendars, wall calendars, and customary wedding or funeral gifts, will no longer be considered election bribery.
