1. Methods of receiving criminal bail:
You can either personally collect it or authorize someone else to collect it on your behalf.
If you choose to personally collect it or authorize someone else, please proceed to the service center window of our office on the specified date after receiving the notice of bail refund. Our staff will verify the documents and proceed with the refund according to the treasury procedures.
2. Required documents for collection:
(a) If the bail is being collected by the guarantor in person, the following documents are required:
• Notice of bail refund
• Original payment receipt
• Guarantor's national identification card and seal.
(b) If someone else is authorized to collect it, the following documents must be provided:
• Notice of bail refund
• Original payment receipt
• Representative's national identification card and seal
• Letter of authorization (a blank template can be obtained free of charge from our office, and it must be signed or sealed by the person granting the authorization, including their age, address, and national identification card number)
• Seal certification of the person granting the authorization (please obtain it from the household registration office in the place of residence). If the refund amount does not exceed NT$100,000 (including NT$100,000), the seal certification may be waived. If the authorized person is the spouse or adult direct relative of the guarantor and has power of attorney, they can present the household registration instead of the seal certification for collection.
If you have any questions regarding the collection of bail, please contact our service center at (03) 2160123 ext. 1061 or 1060.
