Taiwan Taoyuan District Prosecutors Office
Guidelines for Applying for On-site Legal Consultation Services by Lawyers

1.In order to assist the public in understanding their legal issues, clarify relevant laws and rights, foster correct litigation concepts, and promote legal education, we have planned to provide this service.

2.This service is of a public welfare nature and only accepts legal inquiries from the public. We do not handle requests for lawyer appointments, referrals, or intermediaries. The legal advice provided by lawyers is based on their professional opinions or suggestions, and it is solely for the reference of the applicant. The legal opinions or suggestions are not related to our office.

3.This service is jointly provided by the Taoyuan City Lawyers Association and the Taoyuan Branch of the Foundation of Legal Aid Taiwan through negotiation to support lawyers in providing on-site legal consultation services.

4.The relevant expenses for this service are supported by the Taoyuan Branch of the Taiwan Crime Victims Assistance Association. The on-site lawyers do not charge any consultation fees to the applicants.

5.Application acceptance time and method:

.This service accepts on-site applications. The application acceptance time is from 1:30 PM on Monday to Friday (excluding national holidays or days off approved by the Personnel Administration Office of the Executive Yuan; the service will be temporarily suspended on such days).
.Considering the service hours and content of each on-site lawyer, as well as the related expense support, the service is limited to serving 10 to 15 individuals per day. The consultation time for each individual is approximately 15 minutes (the number of applicants may be adjusted by our office based on the situation). Telephone, fax, or online reservations are not available.

6.Lawyer consultation service hours:

Monday to Friday, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (excluding national holidays or days off approved by the Personnel Administration Office of the Executive Yuan; the service will be temporarily suspended on such days).

7.Application method:

.Legal consultation applicants should present identification documents and fill out an application form. (This application form is for official statistics and expense reimbursement purposes. The application information will only be used for official purposes and will be handled in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act and relevant regulations. Applicants should provide at least their real name, gender, and other required information. Once the application form is submitted to our office, it will be retained and not returned. If the applicant does not wish to provide the information, please contact the Taoyuan Branch of the Foundation of Legal Aid Taiwan for legal consultation (contact number: 03-3346500, address: 12F, No. 110 Fuxing Road, Taoyuan District, Taoyuan City).)
.Applicants should go to the service center of our office and receive an application form and a queue number from the volunteers. Then, they should wait in line according to the assigned queue number for consultation.
